Haney is undefeated in his Boxing career with 31 wins, 15 coming by knockout, as he looks to make his eighth successful title defence with the WBC World Lightweight Championship. Since first winning the world title in November 2019 against Alfredo Santiago, The Dream has earned eight consecutive unanimous decision wins.
The San Francisco-born fighter last fought in his home city against Regis Prograis, winning dominantly with a decision victory as Haney would stay in control of the whole fight and knockdown Prograis in the third round.
In the same year, Haney fought Vasyl Lomachenko at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas where The Dream would edge out a decision win over the Ukrainian. The aftermath of the fight would cause a bit of controversy as many of the fighting community Lomachenko did enough to win the fight.
Haney looks to be unstoppable in the Lightweight division and if he defeats Ryan Garcia, regardless of how the fights ends, it may set up a super fight against the current WBA World Lightweight Champion, Gervonta Davis.
Ryan Garcia has only had one loss in his Boxing career but has been victorious in 24 other bouts, 20 fights ending by knockout, as he looks to win his first-ever undisputed world title. Seven of King Ry's last eight wins have ended by knockout as he will look to add another KO victory in New York.
The California fighter last fought at the Toyota Center as he faced Oscar Duarte Jurado in early December last year, defeating the Mexican by knockout in the eighth round.
Garcia's recent victory redeemed his loss earlier on in 2023 when he faced off against Gervonta Davis in a Catchweight bout of 136-pounds. The fight would be hosted in the T-Mobile Arena as fans saw Davis knockdown King Ry in the second round before hitting a brutal body punch which would stop Garcia in the seventh-round and lose by knockout.
The Victorville-born fighter has the incredible opportunity of becoming a world champion in Boxing. If Garcia were to defeat Haney in Brooklyn, there would be no surprise if a rematch was to be made as Haney has earned numerous title defences with the WBC World Super Lightweight title.
Who takes the victory between The Dream and King Ry? How do you see the fight ending?
