Marcin Tybura has already headlined a UFC event at the APEX when he faced Tai Tuivasa and submitted him in the first-round at UFC Vegas 88, helping himself climb back up the Heavyweight rankings.
Tybur has won three of his last four fights which include; an unanimous decision win against Biagoy Ivanov, a majority decision win against Alexander Romanov, and a first-round TKO loss to the current Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion, Tom Aspinall.
The Polish fighter has picked up plenty of decision wins in the UFC, but most of his fights in MMA have not gone the distance as he has earned nine KO/TKO and seven submission wins.
Tybura won the first bout against Spivac, winning by unanimous decision at UFC Norfolk, as he looks to repeat this before getting another shot at entering the top five in the Heavyweight division.
Serghei Spivac last fought 11 months ago at UFC Paris where he would suffer a defeat in enemy territory, losing to Ciryl Gane by second-round TKO.
Before his loss, the Polar Bear was on a three-fight winning streak after he had earned two TKO wins over Greg Hardy and Augusto Sakai, and a submission victory against Derrick Lewis.
The Moldovian is a dangerous fighter on the ground and has won most of his fights in that position with seven KO/TKO and submission victories as his wrestling is unmatched with most of the Heavyweight fighters.
Spivac has the opportunity to move up one spot in the rankings as not only does he try to get back in the win column, but he also tries to get revenge after losing the first bout to Tybura.
Other fights you should look out for
Chris Gutierrez vs Quang Le - Gutierrez last fought at UFC Vegas 83 and would not be successful as he lost to Song Yadong by unanimous decision. Before his loss to Pedro Munhoz at Kansas City in April 2023, El Guapo was on an eight-fight winning streak which included his showstopping knockout against Frankie Edgar at UFC 281. Gutierrez will aim to get back to winning ways and put himself back in the Bantamweight rankings.
Le makes his debut at UFC Vegas 95 as he is coming into the organisation, undefeated with eight victories. The Vietnam-born mixed martial artist has earned five finishes in his MMA career with his last two fights ending by KO/TKO in the first round at Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA). A victory for Le could make him the next big prospect in the Bantamweight division and put all of the 135-pound fighters on notice.
Karol Rosa vs Pannie Kianzad - Rosa last fought at UFC 296 where she would come up short against Irene Aldana, losing by unanimous decision. The Brazilian is yet to earn a stoppage win in the UFC as all of her fights in the organisation have gone to the judges scorecards. The #8 Women's Bantamweight contender will aim to maintain her ranking and get back in the win column.
Kianzad was unfortunate in her last fight as she would suffer a first-round submission defeat to Macy Chiasson at UFC Vegas 88. Just like her opponent, Banzai has never earned a finish in the UFC with all of her victories ending by unanimous decision with the MMA company. The #11 Women's Bantamweight contender has another opportunity to rise up the rankings, as well as snap her two-fight losing streak.
Jhonata Diniz vs Karl Williams - Diniz made his UFC debut in his last fight at UFC Vegas 91, earning a second-round knockout win over Austen Lane. The former Kickboxer is undefeated and has finished every fight by KO/TKO with six of those fights ending in the first round. The Brazilian looks to continue his 100% finish rate as it may not be long before we see Diniz enter the Heavyweight rankings.
Williams last fought at UFC Vegas 89 where he would earn a convincing unanimous decision win against Justin Tafa. The Virgin Islands-born fighter is currently on a seven-fight winning streak with all of his three UFC fights ending by unanimous decision as the American Heavyweight is confident when taking the fight to a decision. Williams has earned three comfortable wins in the UFC and looks to carry that on at the APEX.
Will it be Repeat or Revenge for Tybura and Spivac? Which fight are you looking forward to the most at UFC Vegas 95?
