The Etihad Arena was not disappointed by what they saw at UFC 308 as we witnessed some incredible knockouts, sensational submissions and some entertaining battles. Here are all the results from UFC 308.

preliminary card

Rinat Fakhretdinov vs Carlos Leal (Welterweight Bout) - Fakhretdinov wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).

Fakhretdinov continues his unbeaten streak after a close battle with Leal, earning an unanimous decision win which not many of the MMA community agreed on since Leal landed more strikes. The Russian must have swayed the judges decision with the combinations he landed to the Brazilian along with a couple of takedowns. With his sixth fight in the UFC, Gladiator will be hoping to contest for a spot in the Welterweight rankings soon.

Ismail Naurdiev vs Bruno Silva (Middleweight Bout) - Naurdiev wins via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Naurdiev made a very convincing win on his return to the UFC after dominating Silva for three rounds. The Austrian Wonderboy landed plenty of strikes in the fight as well as wrestling the Brazilian, giving his opponent a hard time to compete. The Grozny-born fighter is now on a two-fight winning streak and will continue to impress in the 185-pound division.

Farid Basharat vs Victor Hugo (Featherweight Bout) - Basharat wins via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).

Basharat remains undefeated after securing a decision win over Hugo. Despite weighing in a lot less than Hugo due to the Bantamweight bout changing as a Featherweight fight, the Afghanistan mixed martial artist did not make it look like there was a disadvantage as his wrestling paid off to secure him the win. Ferocious looks to have significant potential in the UFC and be a possible contender in either the 135 or 145-pound weight class.

Kennedy Nzechukwu vs Chris Barnett (Heavyweight Bout) - Nzechukwu wins via TKO (R1, 4:27).

Nzechukwu made a successful Heavyweight debut after defeating an injured Chris Barnett in the first round. After attempting a spinning wheel kick, Barnett suffered an hamstring injury but continued to fight until it became too much, allowing The African Savage to take advantage and stop the fight. The Nigerian is now back to winning ways and looks to explore more in the Heavyweight division.

Abus Magomedov vs Brunno Ferreira (Middleweight Bout) - Magomedov wins via Arm Triangle (R3, 3:14).

A Middleweight battle that had a crazy three rounds, Magomedov was able to pick up the victory after submitting Ferreira in the third round. The Brazilian had looked close to winning the bout in the second round after stunning the German with a few punches and locking in a tight Guillotine Choke, but Magomedov would turn the fight around in the final round after a brilliant takedown attempt before finishing Ferreira off with an Arm Triangle. With his second win in a row, the Dagestan-born fighter is aiming to make a bigger name for himself.

Mateusz Rebecki vs Myktybek Oralbai (Catchweight Bout) - Rebecki wins via Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29).

In a wild three-round war, Rebecki did just enough to earn the win through the judges scorecards. Oralbai received a lot of damage in the fight, having one of his eyes completely swollen shut and suffered a knockdown, but continued to keep brawling an exchanging with the Pole as both men ended the bout with blood all over their faces. Chinczyk managed to get his redemption in Abu Dhabi and after such an incredible war with his opponent, he will become a more recognisable name to UFC fans.

Geoff Neal vs Rafael Dos Anjos (Welterweight Bout) - Neal wins via TKO (R1, 1:30).

Handz of Steel made quick work of Dos Anjos after stopping the former UFC Lightweight Champion in just 90 seconds. Neal knocked down the Brazilian with a cracking left hand before moments later, after Dos Anjos made it back to his feet, he would go down again with an leg injury and gave the Texan his 10th KO/TKO win of his MMA career. With the #10 Welterweight contender back in the win column, he will try to work his way back up the Welterweight rankings.

Ibo Aslan vs Rafael Cerqueira (Light Heavyweight Bout) - Aslan wins via TKO (R1, 0:51).

Aslan brought Turkish power to UFC 308 after stopping debutant, Cerqueira, in just over 51 seconds. The Last Ottoman poured the pressure with numerous strikes to Cequeira, forcing him to move his back to the cage and doing his best to defend the punches and leaving the referee no choice but to stop the fight. Aslan keeps his 100% finish rate in his MMA career and earns his 12th first-round finish as he may have just become a fan-favourite after that performance.

main card

Sharaputdin Magomedov vs Armen Petrosyan (Middleweight Bout) - Magomedov wins via KO (R2, 4:52).

Magomedov keeps his undefeated MMA record after a wild and unique knockout win over Petrosyan. Both Magomedov and Petrosyan would exchange punches in the first and second round, testing to see who would be stunned first, and that question would be answered when the Russian landed a double spinning backfist which knocked out the Armenian. The Bullet is becoming one of the most well-known prospects in the UFC and with such a crazy win, you would expect to see him contest for a position in the MIddleweight rankings.

Lerone Murphy vs Dan Ige (Featherweight Bout) - Murphy wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Murphy did just enough to stay undefeated and maintain his ranking in the Featherweight division after an unanimous decision win over Ige. It was clear that Ige won the first round after landing a wild left hand which knocked down the Englishman, but The Miracle would comeback in rounds two and three to secure the victory. The #12 contender aims to fight an opponent who is in the top 10, and after calling out Josh Emmett, it will give the matchmakers a chance to make an interesting battle.

Magomed Ankalaev vs Aleksandr Rakic (Light Heavyweight Bout) - Ankalaev wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Ankalaev increase his unbeaten streak to 13 after taking a decision win over Rakic. Both men were definitely testing each other based off the striking as Ankalaev's shots seemed to be more powerful, although it made it a struggle for him earn a knockout due to the movement of the Serbian. The #1 Light Heavyweight contender called out the champion, Alex Pereira, in the post-fight interview as he believes he should be next to challenge for the 205-pound title.

Robert Whittaker vs Khamzat Chimaev (Middleweight Bout) - Chimaev wins via Face Crank (R1, 3:34).

Chimaev made surprisingly quick work of Whittaker as the five-round bout would not even last a full round. Borz did not waste anytime, taking down Whittaker to the ground before gradually working his way to the back to find a submission, before submitting the former UFC Middleweight Champion with a Face Crank in front of his home nation. After defeating the #3 contender in such quick fashion, it looks like Chimaev may be the next title challenger for Dricus Du Plessis as he finally gets his chance to title glory.

Ilia Topuria vs Max Holloway (Featherweight Title Bout) - Topuria wins via KO (R3, 1:34).

Topuria shocked the entire Combat Sports industry after becoming the first fighter to knockout Holloway, successfully defending his title at the same time. El Matador and Blessed exchanged throughout the three rounds, but the Goergian/Spaniard began landing the more powerful shots in the third round and raised the crowd to their feet when he dropped Holloway with a left hand, before a couple of ground strikes to finish the Hawaiian off. The UFC Featherweight Champion has made it clear who he wants to face next, but after an incredible victory, many will believe he is unstoppable.
