Derek Chisora became victorious in what was thought to be his last fight of his Boxing career when he defeated Otto Wallin by unanimous decision at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester.
The London boxer provided a war and put on a worthy display when he knocked down Wallin in rounds nine and twelve which more or less secured the win.
The bout was scheduled as a IBF title eliminator fight meaning that the winner has the right to face the champion which could be either Daniel Dubois or Joseph Parker when they cross paths in Riyadh on 22nd February.
It was originally thought that this would be Chisora's final battle in a Boxing ring as the Manchester crowd had plenty of recognisable spectators from the likes of Roberto Duran and Nick Ball, to former foes such as Dillian Whyte, Joe Joyce and Tyson Fury.
However, the Zimbabwe-born fighter is one fight away from 50 career bouts, and wants that to be his last fight and for it to be a challenging contest.
During his post-fight interview, Chisora's camp brought in photos of three boxers could be a potential opponent for his last fight as pictures of; the current IBF World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Dubois, Anthony Joshua, and Oleksandr Usyk were shown in the ring.
Chisora wanted the crowd to decide by saying and pointing to each boxer to see who had the biggest reaction.
Regardless of who he picks, Queensbury promoter, Frank Warren believed that Chisora has the right to face who he likes after a brilliant performance from 'War'.
In terms of which opponent seems the most logical:
A fight with Daniel Dubois makes sense as since Chisora won the IBF title eliminator fight, that title bout can be guaranteed and would also give him one last chance to win a World Heavyweight title.
A battle with Oleksandr Usyk may not make sense to some, but the Londoner has faced the Ukrainian before when he lost by unanimous decision at the Wembley Arena back in October 2020 with the scorecards being 113-115, 113-115, 112-117, showing how close this contest was.
And finally, a fight with Anthony Joshua would certainly be on the cards after AJ's shocking knockout loss to Dubois last year as he will want to exact some revenge on the current IBF World Heavyweight Champion. Even though the fight won't exactly be for a title, it will certainly draw a lot of attention with Joshua being a very big name in British Boxing.
Regardless of who Chisora faces, it will be exciting nonetheless as plenty of people will be looking forward to seeing the 41-year-old's last dance in a Boxing ring, wherever it may be.
Who do you believe Derek Chisora will face in his final bout?
