Peter Wright will look to successfully bounce back from his disastrous Premier League campaign, as 'Snakebite' returns to Copenhagen to defend his Nordic Darts Championship title.
Victory on Saturday night will see Wright scoop his fifth World Series title, after securing his fourth in last year's final. Wright beat Denis Nilsson, Michael Van Gerwen, Michael Smith, and finally Gerwyn Price en-route to glory in 2023.
Set to represent Scotland in this month's World Cup event, the 54-year-old will be wanting to garner as much momentum as possible if he hopes to boost his and Gary Anderson's status as one of the tournament favourites in Dortmund.
Noticeably absent from this weekend's events are the aforementioned Van Gerwen and the recently-crowned Premier League champion Luke Littler. The pair's spots have been filled by the UK Open Champion Dimitri Van den Bergh, and the Masters Champion Stephen Bunting, with the rest of the tournament padded out with the rest of the six World Series/PDC stars, as well as the eight regional qualifiers.

Whilst Luke Humphries will no doubt enter the tournament as the no.1 seed and favourite, Rob Cross carries all the momentum after his dramatic victory in the recent US Darts Masters, having beaten MVG, Humphries and Price in a single night to scoop his latest title.
He faces one of the harder first round opponents however, with Sweden's Jeffrey de Graaf awaiting him on Friday night. Top ranked qualifier Madars Razma will face Gerwyn Price, and sole Danish representative Benjamin Drue Reus will need all the home support he can get if he's going to upset 'Cool Hand' Luke Humphries.
