Three time Saudi-Arabian champions, Al Ahli are looking to add to their impressive recent additions of Premier League stars Edouard Mendy and Roberto Firmino, with Newcastle's Allan Saint-Maximin set to join the ranks in Jeddah.
In a move that has caused wide-spread concern amongst those in football's inner circle, Newcastle's mercurial winger looks set to join the Saudi outfit in a reported £30m move.
With high-profile stars like Ronaldo, Kanté and Benzema already finding new homes in the middle-east, the Saudi Pro League continues to submerge itself into the murky waters of football transfers.
And whilst these moves have drawn negativity from fans who grieve at the loss of watching their favourite players on a weekly basis, none have caused the uproar from those inside the game quite like the alleged transfer of 'Saint Max'.
Arguments that the reported fee of £30m is an illegal inflation of the Frenchman's value have swept through the mainstream media; after all, he has been good for just three goals per season on English shores.
In fact, the fee is not the only issue with this move as, due to their shared majority stakeholder, both sides are allegedly using this transfer to circumvent the rules of FFP.
But what do you think? Is Allan Saint-Maximin worth £30m? Is this another step on PIF's route to global footballing domination?
