Early prelims
Stewart Nicoll vs Jesus Aguilar (UFC Flyweight Bout) - Nicoll makes his UFC debut in Australia as he looks to make a good first impression in front of his home fans. The Queensland fighter is undefeated, winning his last four fights by KO/TKO as he does not like to go the distance. A statement win for the debutant could put the Flyweight division on notice as a new soon to be contender could arrive in the UFC.
Aguilar last fought at UFC Mexico City where he just managed to get the victory after earning a split decision over Mateus Mendonca. The Mexican is currently on a two-fight winning streak with his first win ending in just 17 seconds at UFC 290, knocking out Shannon Ross. Depending on the outcome, Aguilar could be just outside the 125-pound rankings if he does put on an impressive display.
Song Kenan vs Rick Glenn (UFC Welterweight Bout) - Kenan fought three times last year with one unanimous decision win against Rolando Bedoya, but suffered an unanimous decision loss to Kevin Jousset as well as a third-round TKO loss against Ian Machado Garry. The Assassin has managed to earn 18 finishes out of 21 victories with nine KO/TKO and submission wins. The Chinese Welterweight needs a victory to get back in the win column and pick up some momentum in his next fight.
Glenn had the worst year of his MMA career when he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Christos Giagos at UFC Vegas 71 and a first-round TKO loss to Drew Dober at UFC Vegas 80. The Gladiator has only earned one knockout win in the UFC, which is quite surprising see he has stopped 13 of his opponents by KO/TKO in his career. Glenn has not been victorious since June 2021, so it is a big must-win for the Iowa-born fighter.
Tom Nolan vs Alex Reyes (UFC Lightweight Bout) - Nolan made his UFC debut at the beginning of the year when he suffered a first-round TKO loss to Nikolas Motta, but he would redeem himself with a first-round TKO win of his own at UFC Vegas 92. The Big Train is a danger on the feet with his last five victories ending by KO/TKO, four of those ending in the first round. In his first PPV event, Nolan has a great opportunity to begin his winning streak as he tries to earn another knockout win.
Reyes made his UFC debut in September 2017 when he suffered a first-round knockout to Mike Perry, and exactly six years later, he would return to lose by first-round TKO as he is still searching for his first win in the organisation. The Executioner had stopped all of his conquered opponents with nine KO/TKO and four submission wins out of 13 career triumphs. One more knockout loss could see Reyes' UFC career come to an end as he is in desperation for glory.
preliminary card
Jack Jenkins vs Herbert Burns (UFC Featherweight Bout) - Jenkins had had three fights since his UFC debut in February 2023 as he has claimed to decision wins over Don Shainis and Jamall Emmers, as well as a second-round TKO loss to Chepe Mariscal. Before his recent loss, Phar was on a nine-fight winning streak which included two submission and three TKO victories. The Australian has a great chance to get back in the win column in front of his home country as Jenkins looks to light up UFC 305.
Herbert has not been victorious since June 2020 as he currently stands on a three-fight KO/TKO losing streak. The Blaze is seen as a dangerous submission artist with eight of his 11 wins ending with the opponent tapping out to the Brazilian. If there is time to get redemption, it's now as Burns could manage to get his first win in four years in enemy territory, making that win even more impressive.
Casey O'Neill vs Luana Santos (UFC Women's Flyweight Bout) - O'Neill is currently on a two-fight losing streak with her last bout ending by second-round submission to Ariane Da Silva at UFC 296. Four of King's last five wins have ended with a finish with three of those ending by KO/TKO and one by submission. The Irvine-born fighter is the current #15 Flyweight contender and a loss in Perth could put her out of the rankings.
Santos last fought at UFC Denver where she would pull off a first-round submission victory against Mariya Agapova. The Brazilian prefers the fight to go on the ground as half of her eight MMA wins have ended by submission. Santos is currently on a five-fight winning streak and if it were to increase at the RAC Arena, she may have just earned her spot in the Flyweight rankings.
Joshua Culibao vs Ricardo Ramos (UFC Featherweight Bout) - Culibao came up just short in his last fight at UFC Vegas 88 when he suffered a split decision loss to Danny Silva. Kuya has only been able to pull of one stoppage win in the UFC which would be his first-ever submission win in MMA which occurred at UFC 284. The Australian Featherweight stands on a two-fight losing streak and has the perfect opportunity to earn redemption in front of his home crowd.
Ramos has not had great luck in his last two fights, losing by first-round submission to both Charles Jourdain and Julian Erosa. The Campinas-born mixed martial artist could end a fight in any fashion as the Brazilian has four KO/TKO and seven submission wins out of his 16 MMA triumphs. Ramos looks to end his horrible run of form and try to seek his first victory since June 2022.
Junior Tafa vs Valter Walker (UFC Heavyweight Bout) - Tafa last fought on short notice at UFC 298, but would suffer a second-round TKO loss to Marcos Rogerio De Lima. The Juggernaut is very deadly at the feet with all five of his MMA wins ending by knockout, four of those being stopped in the first round. The Avondale-born fighter has only one win in the UFC, but is prepared to fight in front of his home fans for the first time in his UFC career.
Walker made his UFC debut in April but would not start off with a good impression as he would lose to Lukasz Brzeski by unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 90. The Clean Monster was previously undefeated with 11 victories, six of those ending by KO/TKO. The Brazilian Heavyweight has a lot to prove in Perth as he could cause a barn burner for the Aussie fans.
main card
Li Jingliang vs Carlos Prates (UFC Welterweight Bout) - Jingliang has not fought since September 2022 when he suffered a split decision loss to Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 279. The Leech has been a big threat in the Welterweight division, especially on the feet as his last four wins have ended by knockout. The Chinese mixed martial artist has been awaiting a comeback win and it may just happen with the Australians cheering him on as he is seen as a fan-favourite of the UFC.
Prates has put the UFC Welterweight division on notice, ever since he entered the organisation as his last fight ended with a first-round knockout win over Charles Radtke at UFC Louisville. The Nightmare is unbeaten in nine fights with his last eight victories ending by KO/TKO as he is to be taken seriously in the Octagon. The Taubate-born fighter could extend his knockout winning streak to nine and possibly put himself in contention for a spot in the Welterweight rankings.
Tai Tuivasa vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik (UFC Heavyweight Bout) - Tuivasa has had a big downfall in his career, losing his last four fights with his most recent bout ending by first-round submission against Marcin Tybura at UFC Vegas 88. Bam Bam has 15 MMA victories with 14 of those ending by KO/TKO as the Sydney fighter does not mess around. The #10 Heavyweight contender does not want to keep falling down the rankings as he could get his glorious redemption in front of his home country.
Rozenstruik last fought at UFC Vegas 87 where he managed to overcome the odds and stop Shamil Gaziev by fourth-round TKO. All of Bigi Boy's wins in the UFC have ended by KO/TKO as he does not like to take the fight to the judges scorecards. The #12 Heavyweight contender has the opportunity to move up the Heavyweight rankings and continue his 100% finish rate in the UFC.
Mateusz Gamrot vs Dan Hooker (UFC Lightweight Bout) - Gamrot is currently on a three-fight winning streak with his last victory ending by unanimous decision against Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 299. Gamer has never been stopped in his MMA career as he holds eight KO/TKO and five submission wins out of the 24 triumphs he has on his record. The #5 Lightweight contender looks to be very close to a potential title shot and may just earn it soon if he can put on an impressive display at the RAC Arena.
Hooker has won his last two fights with his most recent victory ending in a close split decision against Jalin Turner at UFC 290. The Hangman has stopped 18 of his 23 conquered opponents with 11 coming by KO/TKO and seven ending by submission. The #11 Lightweight contender has a marvellous chance to boost up the rankings and be one step away from his first UFC title shot.
Kai Kara-France vs Steve Erceg (UFC Flyweight Bout) - Kara-France last fought at UFC Vegas 74 when he narrowly lost by split decision to Amir Albazi. Don't Blink has not been victorious since March 2022 as back then he stood on a three-fight winning streak with two knockout wins against Rogerio Bontorin and Cody Garbrandt. The #4 Flyweight contender is in serious need of a win and could have the opportunity of breaking the Aussie's hearts by defeating their hometown hero.
Erceg was unsuccessful in his quest to claim a UFC title when he lost in the Main Event at UFC 301 to the champion, Alexandre Pantoja, by unanimous decision. Astroboy has been seen as dangerous both on the feet and on the ground, currently holding six submissions and two KO/TKO wins. The #7 Flyweight contender seeks redemption from his title loss as he has the chance to keep climbing up the rankings.
Dricus Du Plessis vs Israel Adesanya (UFC Middleweight Title Bout) - Du Plessis' last fight proved to be his most important one when he went face-to-face with Sean Strickland, winning the UFC Middleweight Championship by split decision at UFC 297. Stilknocks has stopped 19 of his 21 opponents as the South African is seen as a big threat all-round in the Octagon. The King of the Middleweights looks to pick up his most impressive win against a former champion and put himself in a higher spot in the pound-for-pound rankings.
Adesanya's last fight did not go as planned as despite being a big favourite against Sean Strickland at UFC 293, he would lose by unanimous decision and the Middleweight title in the process. Stylebender is seen as one of the most incredible strikers in MMA with 16 of his 24 career wins ending by KO/TKO. The two-time former UFC Middleweight Champion looks for redemption once again as a loss at UFC 305 could settle himself for retirement.
