UFC 310 Results

Published on 8 December 2024 at 21:15

UFC 310 did not disappoint, showcasing plenty of knockouts and submissions as well as a few close battles. Here are all the results from last UFC PPV event of the year.

early prelims

Kennedy Nzechukwu vs Lukasz Brzeski (Heavyweight Bout) - Nzechukwu wins via TKO (R1, 4:51).

Nzechukwu gets his second win in the Heavyweight division with another first-round TKO triumph, this time against Brzeski. The African Savage proved to be too much for the Polish fighter as after an interesting striking battle, the Nigerian landed a powerful right-hook to knock down Brzeski, before a couple more strikes finished off the fight. After two significant wins in just less than two months, Nzechuwku may be close to contesting with the Heavyweight rankings.

Clay Guida vs Chase Hooper (Lightweight Bout) - Hooper wins via Armbar (R1, 3:41).

Hooper increased his winning streak to four after an impressive first-round submission win over Guida. The Enumclaw mixed martial artist took full advantage of his jiu jitsu when he trapped Guida with an Armbar as despite defending the submission attempt for a slightly long period, Hooper would eventually make the 43-year-old tap. With such a key prospect earning three submissions in a row, Hooper may soon be a Lightweight contender.

Michael Chiesa vs Max Griffin (Welterweight Bout) - Chiesa wins via Rear-Naked Choke (R3, 1:56)).

Chiesa earned his second consecutive submission win and a 100% win rate in 2024 after stopping Griffin in the third round. The Maverick was keen to go to the ground as that is where it would be his strongest suit, although, Griffin would defend six of eight takedown but it wasn't enough as Chiesa eventually locked in a Rear-Naked Choke and would come out victorious. Chiesa may not be contending for the Welterweight rankings anymore, but he still proves that he can contest with any unranked opponent.

Cody Durden vs Joshua Van (Flyweight Bout) - Van wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-26, 30-27).

Van made it three wins out of four fights in 2024 after an incredible striking display saw him beat Durden convincingly. The Fearless' only concern was going to the ground with Durden as despite the #14 Flyweight contender landing two takedowns, Van took control on the feet and dominated the 125-pound battle until the bout had ended. Van will enter the Flyweight rankings as he aims to rise up further in the division and make tough competition for his opposing competitors.

Chris Weidman vs Eryk Anders (Catchweight Bout) - Anders wins via TKO (R2, 4:51).

Anders came back from a threatening first round to defeat Weidman by TKO in the second round and earn his 10th knockout win of his career. The former UFC Middleweight Champion knocked down Anders in the first round and came close to a Guillotine Choke attempt, but Ya Boi avenged himself in the next round, knocking out Weidman late with a ground and pound. Anders puts himself on a two-fight winning streak and will look to continue his good form heading into 2025.

preliminary card

Randy Brown vs Bryan Battle (Welterweight Bout) - Battle wins via Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29).

Battle did just enough to secure the victory after going the distance with Brown in a close contest. Both the Butcher and Rudeboy challenged each other on the ground and feet, but it seemed more likely that Battle was going to win due to his clinch control against the cage. Despite missing weight by four pounds for this bout, he still puts himself on a five-fight unbeaten streak and could soon make his way to the Welterweight rankings.

Movsar Evloev vs Aljamain Sterling (Featherweight Bout) - Evloev wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Evloev had his toughest test yet when he came up against Sterling in a wrestling matchup, doing just enough to win unanimously. The Russian struggled with Funk Master in the first round after getting more control time, but Evloev's grappling proved to be better in rounds two and three which would secure the victory. The #5 Featherweight contender remains undefeated in MMA and will be heavily eyeing a title shot in his next fight.

Vicente Luque vs Themba Gorimbo (Welterweight Bout) - Luque wins via Anaconda Choke (R1, 0:52).

Luque just needed 52 seconds to earn redemption after quickly submitting Gorimbo in the first round. After a couple of strikes from both fighters, The Silent Assassin made Gorimbo stumble to the ground before gradually locking in an Anaconda Choke, leaving the Zimbabwe fighter unconscious. The #14 Welterweight contender maintains his position in the rankings and hopes to rise up the division after such an impressive win.

Dominick Reyes vs Anthony Smith (Light Heavyweight Bout) - Reyes wins via TKO (R2, 4:46).

Reyes made it two knockout wins in a row after finishing Smith late in round two as his striking proved to be too much. The Devastator refused to go the ground with Lionheart until he found himself in a position to strike Smith on the ground as after multiple shots near the cage, Reyes picked up his ninth KO/TKO win. The #12 Light Heavyweight contender is still aiming to get back to the top of the division's rankings as he is slowly redeeming his last thre knockout losses.

main card

Nate Landwehr vs Dooho Choi (Featherweight Bout) - Choi wins via TKO (R3, 3:21).

Choi puts on a dominant display against Landwehr, making him struggle on the feet and ground as he eventually won by TKO in the third round. The Korean Superboy out-landed Nate the Train in the first round, showcasing both speed and power before putting Landwehr in a crucifix position, leaving him fatigued and ending the 145-pound bout. Choi is now on a three-fight unbeaten streak and with a second consecutive knockout win, he could possibly close in on the Featherweight rankings.

Bryce Mitchell vs Kron Gracie (Featherweight Bout) - Mitchell wins via KO (R3, 0:39).

Mitchell earned the first knockout win of his MMA career after redeeming his brutal knockout loss from UFC 296. Thug Nasty was fairly confident on the feet, landing more significant strikes and despite having an Armbar submission scare at the end of round two, Mitchell would slam Gracie to the ground before two punishing elbows saw the Sherwood-born fighter triumph in the T-Mobile Arena. Mitchell maintains his #13 Featherweight contender's spot and will be wanting to climb back up the rankings.

Ciryl Gane vs Alexander Volkov (Heavyweight Bout) - Gane wins via Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29).

Gane seemed to have done just enough to get the judges decision, despite many believing Volkov won the fight as he won by split decision for the first time. Bon Gamin attempted to submit Drago twice in the first round, before both men contested on the feet in the second, however, despite the Frenchman attempting a Kimura Lock, Volkov would gain control time in the third round which would not be enough. The #2 Heavyweight contender keeps himself high in the rankings, however his performance may not be deserving enough for a title shot.

Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Ian Machado Garry (Welterweight Bout) - Rakhmonov wins via Unanimous Decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47).

Rakhmonov won the battle of the undefeated after doing just enough to beat Ian Machado Garry in a close contested five-round war. Nomad won the first three rounds with the occasional bit of striking and grappling, but came close to being submitted in the fifth round when Machado Garry almost won by Rear-Naked Choke. The #3 Welterweight contender does lose his 100% finish rate, but becomes the rightful title challenger and will face Belal Muhammad at some point during 2025.

Alexandre Pantoja vs Kai Asakura (Flyweight Title Bout) - Pantoja wins via Rear-Naked Choke (R2, 2:05).

Pantoja remained as the UFC Flyweight Champion after a phenomenal performance, submitting Asakura in round two to successfully defend his title for a third time. Both men landed some wild punches and kicks in the first round and attempted to grapple, but The Cannibal got to his prime position when he took the back of Asakura as the fight would soon come to an end. The King of the Flyweights is now on a seven-fight winning streak and will be looking for his next challenger, especially after calling out Demetrious Johnson in the post-fight interview.

Performance of the Night bonuses:

- Alexandre Pantoja

- Vicente Luque

- Chase Hooper

- Kennedy Nzechukwu
