Carlos Sainz wins his second Grand Prix of the season to beat former teammate Lando Norris in second with Charles Leclerc in third place.

The Tifosi would have been looking at a 1-2 win for the Ferrari duo, until Leclerc went wide into the final corner on Lap 62 allowing Norris to pass him and chase the Spaniard but ultimately ran out of time to claim first place.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen had initially been at the front of the grid after a messy start but Sainz grabbed it back on Lap 9 and drove all the way to the finish line with a decent time gap lead.

RB’s Yuki Tsunoda had an early exit from the race as he spun out into the barriers at the first corner after making contact with Alex Albon in the Williams car which meant a safety car was deployed to remove any debris from the track.

Verstappen went from good to bad, with him receiving two 10-second penalties for his dangerous moves on Norris, pushing him off the track twice which allowed Leclerc to sneak through to second place.

Sergio Perez  landed himself a five-second penalty for being too far forward in his pit box as well as a feisty battle with Liam Lawson in the RB for P10 with both drivers going wheel to wheel and forcing each other off the track.

A fourth career win for Carlos Sainz but could he secure another before he leaves Ferrari to join the Williams family for the 2025 season?

Sainz said: “I’ve been saying I wanted one more win for Ferrari and to do it here in front of this mega crowd is incredible.

”Now with four races left, I want to enjoy it as much as possible and if another one comes I’m going to go for it.” (ESPN)
