Haaland and/or Salah? Palmer and/or Saka? Is Trent worth the money? These will be the questions every FPL player will be asking themselves over the next week, as we approach the 2024/25 Premier League season. Last year, it felt as if everyone had a similar team, so here’s a look at five new signings that you need to consider for your squad…
Dominic Solanke
Price - £7.5m
Spurs have been crying out for an out and out striker since they lost Harry Kane but in signing Solanke for a fee of £65 million they may finally have a suitable replacement. The striker bagged an impressive 19 goals for Bournemouth last season, so with service from the likes of Heung-Min Son and James Maddison, you’d expect him to better that this year.
Yankuba Minteh
Price - £5.5m
After losing manager Roberto De Zerbi, FPL players may try to steer away from any Brighton assets for the upcoming season, however The Seagulls look to have signed a gem in Minteh. New gaffer, Fabian Hurzeler signed the Gambian for £30 million and he’s looked very sharp in pre season.

Joshua Zirkzee
Price - £7.0m
With Rasmus Hojlund out until mid-September, Zirkzee should be guaranteed minutes this season for The Red Devils. In an over-achieving Bologna side, the Dutchman scored eleven goals last year.
Niclas Fullkrug
Price - £7.0m
Bit of a rogue shout here due to uncertainty of minutes, but it’s no denying Fullkrug is a proper old-school centre forward. At the age of 31, the German journeyman has become something of a cult hero in his country, after his superb performances in the European Championships. It will be interesting to see if he can carry this form into the Premier League.
Ben Brereton Diaz
Price £5.5m
While a lot of people will have Southampton down as relegation contenders, Russell Martin’s side certainly have goals in them. This year Diaz is listed as midfielder, but is likely to start on the wing or up front for The Saints, which always makes a player over-powered on FPL.
